Both photographs are works of the United States federal government and are in the public domain. They show water well drilling operations outside New Hampshire and are used illustratively rather than as depictions of our own work. The second image has been cropped to remove another company’s signage from the original frame.

The bedrock well cross-section diagram and the Granite Well & Pump mark are original illustrations created for this site.
Data
The private-well share of New Hampshire households cited on our cost and depth page comes from NHDES (~46% of residents) and CDC Environmental Health Tracking (~44% of households). The New Hampshire average cost for a new drilled well follows widely published statewide figures. All other price ranges are our own and reflect typical Lakes Region work.
